Nasty C goes big at 20

Former Allen Glen High School attendee and big time musician Ntsikayesizwe David Ngcobo Jnr, better known by his stage name Nasty C, has been making waves on the Internet following his overseas trip to the BET Awards.

The 20-year-old rapper, currently signed under Mabala Noise record label, was nominated for his Bad Hair Extension album in the Best International Act category which was won by Nigerian singer Wizkid.

Nasty C, who originally hails from Durban, toured many parts of New York and also received an opportunity to be on the world-famous hip-hop radio station, Sway in the morning, where he was interviewed about his musical journey. He was also put on the spot to freestyle as have other South African rappers Kwesta, AKA and Cassper Nyovest who’ve been invited on the show.

The rapper also shared an insight with listeners of what it was like to be a born free in South Africa and said he had never experienced any kind of racism in his personal life.

This songwriter and record producer shot to fame after releasing his single Juice Back which earned him recognition in the industry.

As a way of giving back, the Sama and Metro FM award-winning artist shot a music video at Allen Glen High School for his second single, Hell Naw.
