Construction worker reportedly swallowed in soil collapse

A construction worker has apparently been injured after being swallowed by heaps of soil at a site on JG Strydom Road in Weltevreden Park, a few minutes ago (13 September).

It has been reported that the incident was caused by soil that collapsed.

Emergency response units and Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) have been dispatched to the scene to close the road while the man is being dug free.
