From the likes of Prince, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles and Crowded House, we’ve had some timeless classics when it comes to songs about the weather.
And with the weather changing more often than the rand does against just about any foreign currency, Northsider felt it was time to revisit some of those golden oldies.
So, in an effort to take you on a trip through time back to the days of legends, we’ve compiled a list of 11 songs about the weather, starting in 1953 with Frank Sinatra’s mesmerising cover of Sy Oliver’s Come Rain or Come Shine, all the way to 2000 with U2’s brilliant Beautiful Day.
If the nostalgia hits home and you’d like to listen to one song after the other, we’ve compiled a playlist that features the 11 songs. You can find the link to the playlist at the bottom of the article.
