Local security companies are in pursuit of three suspects who are currently (13 March) jumping from wall to wall inside properties in Weltevreden Park.

The suspects are wanted for an alleged house robbery on Ghwarrie Street where they abandoned their escape vehicle which had a fake number plate.

Gunshots were heard by residents who quickly alerted neighbours on Facebook. Norman Mphilo, reaction manager at EC Security, confirmed a shootout between Beagle Watch personnel and the suspects.

“Three suspects jumped and left their vehicle on Ghwarrie Street after Beagle Watch shot two rounds,” he said.

However, no injuries or arrests have been reported as yet.

This is a developing story.
