After about eights months of acting as principal of Allen Glen High School, Jane Kruger has finally been appointment as principal of the school.
Jane officially started her principal’s duties at the beginning of the third term.
Commenting on her appointment as principal, Kruger reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining a spirit of excellence in every facet of academic, sporting and cultural education at the school. At a recent assembly, the school body burst into rapturous applause on hearing the news that she would lead the school forward into the next decade and beyond.
Chairperson of the School Governing Body, Warren Mackrill, was confident that Jane is the right person to lead Allen Glen High forward, and was delighted with the confirmation of her permanent appointment to the post.
Jane has enjoyed an illustrious career in both corporate finance and education. She was previously the school’s deputy principal in charge of the FET phase, after joining the institution in 2008 as Head of Department: Commercial subjects and educator of Computer Application Technology. Prior to entering the education environment, which saw her hold positions at King Edward VII High School and various tertiary colleges, Jane worked as a financial accountant.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specialising in Economics, and a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of Pretoria.
